Contact Info: 212-222-1183, Sherri@SherriRosen.Com PRESS RELEASE

Barbara Chepaitis, Author of Feathers of Hope, Along With NY Senator Schumer save Eagle Mitch!

You may have read about Eagle Mitch in the Associated Press, on Twitter or Facebook, on Huffington Press or in People. Now you can interview Barbara Chepaitis, author of the book Feathers of Hope, about this amazing story and the book that started it all.

Right after the book was released, the sanctuary received a plea for help from some US servicemen stationed in Afghanistan who rescued an eagle after it was shot. Ms. Chepaitis volunteered to coordinate efforts to bring Mitch to Berkshire Bird Paradise. She never imagined it would take months of work, and put her head to head with government policy that would not allow the bird into the country.

Enlisting the help of Senator Schumer, the US Department of State, and the White House, this compassionate mission was accomplished, and Mitch is scheduled to land in the US early next week.

Ms. Chepaitis is available for interview on her book, the work of Berkshire Bird Paradise, and the very special story of Eagle Mitch.
