Inspirational Publicity-That’s what I do by Sherri Rosen

Sometimes you might hear people say that there are too many books in
the world. In a day of internet and television, who needs the printed
word anymore? But we here love books with something
not unlike romance or patriotism.

We love good books—books that make
the world a better place, books that contribute to peace and love and
human flourishing. In a word, we love books that inspire. We don’t
care if a book is published or self-published, if the author is
Jewish, Christian, or Muslim, if they are gay or straight, old or
young, rich or poor. If you have written a book that blesses people
and encourages the dignity of the human race through story or essay,
we want to celebrate your book.

It’s inspirational publicity. The kind of celebration that loves and
blesses and encourages books that love, bless, and encourage.

After living at a Buddhist Retreat Center for two years, I realized
that good books are those that make the world a better place. Deep
down in my heart, I wanted to work with people who inspire others, who
make others want to do better. It was scary. I didn’t know if I could
make a living at book publicity. I also knew a lot of people who
worked in publicity, and they were not honest. But for me, integrity
and honesty is everything.

And so I’ve coined a term to describe
publicity that isn’t about making big money and is honest and real. My
award-winning ebook, “Give Me Your Truth,” and my very first rap song,
“Give Me Your Truth,” (which inspired the book), settled the matter
for me: I love to do what publicists so often avoid—give nothing but
the truth about books that bless.

Working with famous people isn’t important to me. I care about working
with people who are doing good things in the world. I want to inspire
people, to get them excited about being alive, to breathe fresh air
into their daily lives. I hope to help build a more beautiful
tomorrow, to help spread the word about books that will bring people
to new places, perhaps beautiful places they have never been.

And so for thirteen years, that’s what I’ve been doing. I’ve been
working with clients that I love, clients who are brave and share
their beautiful hearts with a world that, frankly, could use more
beauty. I totally love what I do. And I’ve never looked back once.
