History of Sherri Rosen Publicity

Sherri Rosen Publicity began in New York City in the summer of 1999. Since then, we have designed and implemented publicity for many wonderful clients. They include authors, healers, educators, dancers, spiritual groups, artists and environmental spokespeople. This eclectic clientele mainly focused on the specific genres of sex, spirituality and relationship books. This is a key area for Sherri Rosen Publicity, and one that we love to work in. Of course we are constantly branching out and calling upon our extensive knowledge and experience to launch successful campaigns across all genres.

We write daring press releases that are impossible to ignore, and we create dynamic press kits that put your story in the eye of the public. Success often depends on tapping the right market, and on being heard by the right people. We make sure that your voice is heard. We generate segment ideas to make sure that you are speaking to the right listeners, and then we secure radio, television and print interviews so that you can communicate directly to your audience. On top of that we can make travel arrangements, help set up blog pages, or get you acquainted with the online world of kindle books. Whatever your needs are- we can  do it. We do whatever it takes to get you out there.

Sherri Rosen

In 1991 while working for Naura Hayden on her self-published book How To Satisfy A Woman Every Time and Have Her Beg For More, Sherri Rosen helped make this book a bestseller within six months, and the book stayed on the NY Times Bestseller List for 63 weeks, making the author millions of dollars.

Sherri worked with sex therapist and author Dr. Barbara Keesling (How To Make Love All Night And Drive A Woman Wild In Bed) in nailing a 5-page spread in Playboy for Barbara and having her interviewed on The Howard Stern Show.

Sherri has done presentations on publicity at The Learning Annex, at their publishing convention, the prestigious NYU Summer Publishing Institute, and in literary agent Sheree Byofsky’s class at NYU. She is consistently interviewed on radio and television about her work. While in a 3-year course of study on healing trauma, she did publicity for the creator, Dr. Peter Levine, and after 9/11, obtained radio interviews for him throughout the country and assisted setting up a trauma hotline in New York City.

She also works with writers in manuscript development, book proposals, outreach to publishers and agents along with helping authors create their own eBooks.

Sherri worked at Tricycle Magazine for two years, working on publicity nationally for their event once a year in Central Park called “Change Your Mind Day.” The event began in NYC and spread to 40 cities throughout the country. While there, she did a successful publicity campaign for author Stephen Batchelor and his book Buddhism Without Belief. She met and worked alongside other such notables as Amy Gross, who was Editor-in-Chief of O Magazine; Joan Halifax, author and teacher; Mark Epstein, author; Jeff Zaleski, who was book review editor at Publisher’s Weekly; Helen Tworkov, past Editor in Chief of Tricycle Magazine.

Sherri uses the following tagline for her publicity company: “We Believe in Hard Work and Magic!” because the hard work and magic is inevitable whenever she’s working for a client. She has secured interviews on Oprah, Good Morning America, The Today Show, CBS This Morning and was interviewed by Daisy Marlyes, Publishers’ Weekly, after Naura Hayden’s book went to the NY Times Bestseller List.

Before embarking on a publicity career, she was in live theatre in NYC from 1985-1990. She studied acting at HB School of Drama from 1975 to 1980. Sherri graduated from Empire State College, NYC, in l994, obtaining a degree in Theatre and Human Relationships. She is a published writer and is now working on her memoir. In addition to her memoir, she writes articles for the Examiner.com and for Elephant Journal.com, TheGoodmenProject.com, and for her own Redhead’s Rap Blog ; needless to say Sherri is a woman who knows how to live life to it’s fullest!
