“I put a spell on you” by Sherri Rosen

I am friends with some very creative folks on FB. One of them is a poet and also a photographer of flowers. She has never
had any professional training in photography, but she has got it. She has an amazing eye. She posted this gorgeous red orchid
this am which became my muse. When I looked at the orchid the song “I Put A Spell on You” by Screamin Jay Hawkins came up.
That’s the link to the song above.
And here’s the photo of the red and sensuous orchids that were captured by Diane Dehler. Orchids happen to be my favorite flower and when
they are in red, I am overwhelmed by their beauty.
I don’t know about you but something happens to me when I view these flowers and then, suddenly, either a song will come up
that resonates to me about the flower or an entire story will be created. I believe that’s what creativity is all about. Just allowing yourself
to be touched deeply by anything in your day to day life. And, that’s the way I felt about these flowers, “they put a spell on me.” It’s a similar
experience of when I meet someone, they are brand new in my life, and I have this amazing and powerful connection with
them without a word being spoken. Sometimes to the point of falling in love right in the moment. That’s what these flowers captivated in me.
This powerful feeling of falling in love in the moment. And haven’t you had that feeling when you fall in love with someone in the moment
that you are under a spell. Some kind of crazy and wonderful exciting spell.
The key to all of this is being open to these experiences and remaining open and not shutting down. It’s exhilarating and exciting and it’s allowing
yourself to be turned on by life and being alive in the moment.
So stop looking down at your cellphone indoors and outdoors and take in what’s around you. You will be amazed how many spells you could be
put under by all of the beauty there is to see. You could actually fall in love every single day of your life.
